
Well folks... Acadia National Park is now cleaner and safer thanks to the efforts of the Ultimate Maine-ers.
The group impressed the Rangers (and their leaders!) with their good attitudes and big muscles!
Both service days were full of clearing the sidelines along the famous Rockefeller Carriage Trails within the Park.
Some serious over-growth was crowding the boundaries and making it difficult for rainwater to drain appropriately, thus flooding the trails.
Enter the Longacre crew. They hoed, and raked, and shoveled, and weeded those sidelines with some serious determination (see above)!
Off to the Parks Pond Campground tomorrow! And rock climbing! We'll keep you posted!
